FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HOW DOES AN ISLAND CASINO PARTY/EVENT WORK?

Every guest you invite receives play money and one (1) raffle ticket upon their arrival. When they’re ready to play, they take this play money to any of the gaming tables, where the dealers will exchange it for chips.

At the end of the night when the casino closes, your guests will simply return their remaining chips or play money to Island Casino cashier’s cage and redeem their remaining chips or play money for one additional raffle ticket each. All raffle tickets are then placed in a raffle box where you may raffle off prizes of your choice. ISLAND CASINO, LLC CANNOT AND WILL NOT REFUSE ANYONE A RAFFLE TICKET, WHETHER THEY PLAYED IN THE CASINO OR NOT.

As the Host of your event, you may draw the raffle ticket(s) to determine the GIVE-AWAYS. The raffle tickets do not guarantee anyone a gift. Everyone receives a raffle ticket upon entering the party or upon their request for a raffle ticket, whether they play any casino games or not, with Island Casino everybody has FUN.

NOTE: RAFFLE TICKETS DO NOT PLAY A PART IN THE EXCHANGE OF CHIPS OR PLAYMONEY. RAFFLE TICKETS ARE JUST ONE OF MANY METHODS YOU CAN UTILIZE AS A FUN WAY IN DISPURSING GIFTS TO YOUR GUEST IF YOU CHOOSE TO OR NOT FOR SIMPLY COMING TO YOUR PARTY.

IS AN ISLAND CASINO PARTY/EVENT LEGAL?

Yes, Island Casino parties/events are legal. As we know in Hawaii gambling is illegal; therefore, at Island Casino LLC we do not provide, participate in, or promote any real gambling at any time for any reason. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!

ALL OUR GAMES ARE FOR AMUSEMENT ONLY

Gambling is defined as having three essential elements: consideration, chance, and prize. All three must be present.

  • Consideration is the giving of something of value (usually in gambling this is money).
  • Chance is the element of chance, present in all casino games.
  • Prize is something of value which you may win.

All of our parties/events eliminate one or more of these three elements. As such, we are not conducting illegal gambling as defined by law. For example, your guests do not pay anything to attend or to play any of the casino games at your party/event; therefore, there is no element of consideration. Also your guests do not have to play any casino games to be entered into the drawing(s), because everyone receives a raffle ticket when they arrive; therefore, everyone receives a chance to participate in the drawing. Finally, any prize(s) to be given away is done by drawing for raffle tickets, which is currently not illegal in the state of Hawaii.

None of the above information should be construed to be legal advice of any sort. We recommend you to consult your own attorney if you have any concerns whatsoever as to the legalities of your specific party/event.
